Naftin® Cream and Gel contain the broad spectrum synthetic allylamine derivative, naftifine hydrochloride. It has been shown to exhibit fungicidal activity against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes and fungistatic activity against Candida species.* Naftin® Cream and Gel are indicated for tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), and tinea corporis (ring worm) and are available by prescription only.

Naftin® Cream and Gel, 1% are contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to any of their components and are for topical use only. During clinical trials with Naftin® Cream, 1%, the following adverse reactions were reported: burning/stinging, dryness, erythema, itching, and local irritation. During clinical trials with Naftin® Gel, 1%, the following adverse reactions were reported: burning/stinging, itching, erythema, rash, and skin tenderness.
